Safety and Trust

CrushSwitch is built so you never have to think twice about the person on the other end. Your phone number stays private always, any call ends the second you want it to, and real people watch over the ATL room around the clock.

Here is exactly how all of that works, so you can stop thinking about it and simply enjoy the conversation.

Four things that never change

What holds the Atlanta chat line together

These are not settings you have to go hunting for. This is simply how the chat line works for everybody, on every single call.

Your number stays yours

The system reads your caller ID only to recognize your account. It is never shown to another caller.

Leaving is always easy

One key ends the call. Another keeps that caller out of your experience for good.

Real people, not just software

A Trust and Safety team reads reports every hour of every day.

You share only what you want

There is no profile, no photo, and no username. People learn only what you decide to tell them.

At your fingertips

Every control and what it actually does

Select any key to see what it does. Press * at any point during a call and help is on the way, so you never have to go looking mid-conversation.

1

Request a connection

Hear a greeting you like? Press 1 to request a live connection. It stays private between the two of you.

2

Send a message

Prefer to take it slower? Send a short introduction first, so you both learn a little more before connecting live.

3

Play the next greeting

Skip the greeting you are listening to and jump straight into the next caller's greeting.

4

Add or remove from your Hot List

Add a caller to your favorites, the Hot List, and you are notified the next time they are on the line.

5

Refresh your greeting

Re-record your name and greeting whenever you like.

6

Play the previous greeting

Go back and hear the greeting you listened to just before this one.

7

Begin local greetings

Jump back to the greetings of callers closest to you.

8

Block the caller

That caller cannot hear your greeting or connect with you again, and they are never told. Press 8 a second time to flag them to the Trust and Safety team.

Behind the scenes

What happens after you press 9

Reporting should be a small thing you do and then forget about. Here is what happens on our end once you do.

1

It reaches a person

Your report joins a queue that the Trust and Safety team works through day and night.

2

It gets context

The team looks at your report next to any earlier reports tied to that same caller.

3

Something happens

Depending on what took place, the caller may be warned, suspended, or removed from the chat line.

4

You stay out of it

The other caller is never told who reported them, and nothing comes back to you.

Easy habits

Keep these 6 habits in mind on every call

None of this is complicated. These small habits simply make conversations more comfortable.

Let your last name wait

Your first name is plenty. Surnames, workplaces, and street names can wait until much later.

Enjoy the anonymity

There is no hurry to swap personal numbers. A second call on the chat line is a better next step.

Trust a pause

If something feels off, press #. You do not owe anybody an explanation.

Keep money out of it

No caller has a good reason to ask you for money, gift cards, or account details. Block and report anyone who does.

Listen for consistency

A few conversations tell you whether someone sounds the same from one call to the next.

Take as long as you like

There is no timetable on the chat line. Move at your own pace.
